My name is Kino Loy!! I hope that’s not the last we see of him. My heart was pounding throughout. This show is amazing!
Almost Everything is practical effects in real locations and real sets. They chose not to shoot in the Volume like the other new Star Wars series.
I liked Andor better than most Star Wars films (and I disliked Rogue One more than most Star Wars fans). Looking forward to season 2. Will I be tired of it by season 5? Probably.
I was going sit this one out due to lack of interest but I heard it was good so I watched. I agree, I’ve enjoyed it! The first 4-5 episodes were very distracting though b/c every time Andor came on screen I kept wondering how 1970 Paul McCartney got into Star Wars!
Andy Serkis is great as Kino, imo. But the new Star Wars motto should be: "Everything Is A Prequel." Ditto on the Tales Of The Jedi cartoon series. Plot "holes" getting backfilled at a furious pace. Reverse engineering / ret-conning, whatever you want to call it. Some of it works for me, some doesn't. I still think, one day, Disney will remake the entire SW saga with new actors & revised plot points.
I had the Allman Bros ‘One Way Out’ in my head during the ‘One Way Out’ prison break scene and it meshed well.
why are some of ya'll speaking as if the first season is already over? there are two more episodes to go!
Marc Maron had Tony Gilroy on his podcast last month. They spend a lot of time discussing Michael Clayton, but there's some good Andor content too. Episode 1371 - Tony Gilroy — WTF with Marc Maron Podcast He was also on The Ringer podcast a couple days ago, and they mainly discuss Andor. Good interview! Tony Gilroy Returns to Talk ‘Andor’ Episode 10
They are really on a roll here after episode 10! What's interesting to me is that I thought Rogue One was just OK. While the story was good, the CGI versions of Tarkin and Leia threw me and I didn't like the wise cracking droid. Although I have to admit I haven't watched it since I saw it in the theater in 2016. As soon as this season is over (2 more episodes I think) I'm going to go back and give that another viewing, as I have a feeling my opinion will be different. Ideally I'd do that after the 2nd season of Andor is done, but there's no way I can wait that long!
Ha! That's great. As I was watching that episode I thought it was an amazing set to create for a very brief crowd scene. Never occured to me that it might be a real location.
This is interesting. They’re putting it on actual TV and Hulu on Thanksgiving to boost the audience. Why Is ‘Andor’ Viewership Low? Blame Disney’s Bad ‘Star Wars’ Stories | IndieWire
