Need some answers if anyone can help. Wasn't too sure where to post this so I thought I'd start a new thread.

Anyway, I recently (yesterday) bought a music book off an eBay seller to which I won the bid and paid for. However, today I wanted to look at the sellers other items, he had loads of other items for sale, but I can't find him/her anywhere under the name they came under. Has the seller taken the money and done a runner? I've tried to search but no luck

 It should be listed in your purchases.

Transaction should be listed under your purchases. From there you can click on the sellers and see their other items.

You can also do it from the emails eBay sends you confirming your purchase.

That is a strange circumstance Paul. I hope you are able to get it figured out.

That is weird. So the transaction is listed under your purchases but the sellers name is not available?

    Could be a glitch.

If you post the sellers eBay handle here, I'll try searching it from here (Canada).

Another thought, I've had difficulty in the past searching for a seller when I was logged into my eBay Canada account and the seller was based outside of Canada. If I logged into the sellers local site, I could find them. If the seller was not based in the UK, try a search on their local site (if any).

eBay's online chat has always been great (for me, at least, in the US). Responsive, knowledgable, helpful.

    Could be worth trying them.

It could be a glitch. I emailed the seller explaining the situation and he replied very quickly and didn't really know and saying "maybe because the items are sold. I don't know". He said to go to his profile and they may show up...I tried that but to no avail. Strange!! He's a UK seller (I'm in the UK too) under the name "allthings50s".

However, I've had an email from eBay saying that the item I bought from him is on its way. So it all sounds ok. Should get the item Friday.

Just can't understand why I can't see anything else from the seller.

Paul, I tried and was able to locate him easily. I think the kerfuffle you're experiencing is because he has nothing up for sale right now. He does seem to be both a long time member, since 2001, and reliable.

Yes, you're right. I can see his profile quite easily but I thought his "unsold" items would still show up on his account to buy which is what I was looking for but couldn't find. Obviously the items sold would be gone but the unsold items would remain.

You'd think so. Maybe he just pulled all his for sale items temporarily for some reason. You could always ask him to find out.

Ah now I understand. eBay, always intent on doing something annoying, changed things to achieve that goal. Something similar happened to me. I clicked on a seller, like I often do, and instead of seeing the normal seller page I was assaulted by eBay stupidity and shown a new and unimproved completely useless page.

Randomly clicking on the "see all feedback" button took me to the usual seller page. From there I was able to view items and then selected "completed" to see their previous listings.

eBay stupid useless page: allthings50s on eBay

    Previous useful page: Security measure

Page showing completed listings: Items for sale by allthings50s | eBay
