I’d say that the album I push most is Butterfly Child’s Honeymoon Suite. It’s pretty accessible (musically), so I think it would have fairly broad appeal (unlike some of the other records I love). The problem is that it’s not available streaming as far as I can tell, and only maybe a song or two is available on YouTube. So, people would have to track down an actual CD (and have a CD player) to listen to it. I should probably start recommending something more readily available…

Two albums for hard-bop fans who think there's no life beyond the Blue Note sound: Blue Mitchell's Blue Soul and Harold Land's The Fox.

I had a window of about 5 years where I would recommend albums to people, but with only a few exceptions, they fell on deaf ears, so I quit around 40 years ago. The one that more than one person liked was Marquee Moon.

I would help if you mentioned the artists
I know Blood on the tracks but have never heard of The humbler ?
(Or do you mean John Martyn's The tumbler)

I tend to do this more with songs than with albums
    - this is one I remember telling people about

I remember when Gomez released their debut Bring It On and I was amazed. No one in the US really knew anything about them, though I think they won the Mercury award for that album. It was so unique sounding at the time. I tried to turn a lot of people on to that album. Not enough I guess, as they're gone now.

The Church - Priest = Aura
    A psychedelic-prog. masterpiece  :righton:

I may talk up another here, but I'm still awaiting receipt of my physical format (CD) order; probably will post it next week. I know it's one that I'll feel great enthusiasm for & will want to give it additional well-deserving attention!
