Yeah, it was before streaming really took off and became what it is today, but also when illegal downloads still was a considerable factor. So direct comparisons are of course hard. But there are plenty of other interesting numbers in the article.

It will be interesting to see how well Speak Now TV does with the streaming numbers relative to other TV releases.

You almost feel bad for anyone in a category with Taylor Swift at the AMAs, as she seems to dominate those every time.

Yep, I saw her acceptance speech online. She is always so classy.

And just like it can be hard for some parents to hide who their favorite child is, it is not always easy for artists either when it comes to their albums and songs, and Taylor really doesn't hide the fact that Red is her favorite.

    I’m very curious to hear 1989 re-recorded.

If we think back a couple of years, there was some discussion about the deep challenges faced by artists, maybe especially pop artists, trying to retain credibility and popular interest as they approach the age of 30 -- young people mostly don't want to listen to older artists and older people don't much buy new music. I think we now have the answer that was on people's minds with reference to TS: Ms Swift's professional career is going to be just fine, thank you very much. I don't know when (if ever) her star will fade, but it gives no sign of anything but brilliance anywhere on the visible horizon. A greatly gifted artist. And, for her (many) admirers, it's gratifying to see her so well rewarded.

I’ve been into the debut lately and just got it on LP. I don’t know if it’s a very recent repress (same barcode as the 2016), or the same, but it sounds splendid. So much fuller than the digital version with nice bass. Black vinyl.

A little gem. And it flows extremely nice on LP.

I also spotted represses of Reputation

Yeah, she has a couple of decent songs, I guess.

I’d love it if she included the acoustic/strings arrangement of “Call It What You Want” on the TV of Reputation. She played it that way on SNL and it works so well

Speaking of Reputation and the other side of the spectra, this iconic performance (probably posted several times ) bears repeated viewing, especially for those of you gearing up for the tour

The acoustic SNL version is quite nice for sure, but I love that little keyboard motif that runs throughout the studio version, and I miss it in the acoustic version. I could see her doing that version as an alternate track, kind of like how she gave us an acoustic version of State of Grace as a bonus on Red TV.

Yea, that’s what I’d like, if it’s an alternate version. I wouldn’t want her to replace the main album version. But the acoustic arrangement sounds so nice

Just like how Red (Taylor's Version) was bolstered by the long version of All Too Well, new, more organic arrangements for reputation songs could really make the TV version pop off. Get Aaron Dessner on the job.

Yes! An acoustic version of King of My Heart is badly needed. The studio version is too drenched in effects (that stupid vocoder is overused).
