No connection between the headphones company and Stax Records (or Oscar Meyer). If you’re not familiar with Stax Records, I certainly encourage you to explore their rich catalog.
You must be under 20 ?? I mean Stax records are up there with Sun records, Motown and many other legendary record companies.
Chris I don't use flickr I use www.imgur.com and from that I can easily copy/paste photos, I tried that with your flickr pics and it won't work. Perhaps a different pic hosting site would be better? Nice system btw!
I managed to post it…easy when you know how. Anyway, i have a Yamaha surround amp, hence the speaker in the corner. I use the Radford with an old Audiolab preamp these days rather than the original Sc22. Fronts are Quad 21L which suit my room pretty well.
Yes it is nice, the Radford and Garrard were an inheritance, the original system ran with Wharfdale Airdales…. bit big for my pad.
Bought one of these as an early Xmas gift to myself. Was fun for a night until one of my daughters absconded with it...
Looks like a very nice house, don’t sweat not having a perfect room. That space looks nice and chill. I’d consider something more narrow to replace the hutch.
Lovely room and my favourite CAN album on the rack too Have you tried moving the boxes / kit on right wall away from rhs speaker to let it breath more, and bringing both speakers more into the room and maybe toe in a bit to taste? I reckon you'd hear the difference. Move the listening chair back a bit to accommodate if feasible. Then you might be able to justify that 509X
That's not a bad idea, I actually moved my chair up quite a bit after reading about the 83% relationship between speakers and listening spot. The small rack by the right speaker looks more in the way in the photo than it is, but I will try bringing the speakers out more to see, thanks!
Thanks, appreciate that. The hutch/bureau was from our old house and did not fit anywhere when we moved so it became the media center here. I have it bolted to the studs in the wall to reduce foot fall vibrations which helped quite a bit.
