Here's a link to Amazon's B2G1 sale, but as usual it's a pretty useless page given how little you can actually refine the results: Amazon.com: Get 3 for the price of 2 promotion
The sale includes the new pressing of Joni's Blue, the new Can't Buy a Thrill, the What's Going On anniversary 2-LP, several Beatles LPs and box sets, and a lot of classic rock, most of which are already discounted even before the sale price is applied. Even the new Blondie mega box is part of the buy 2 get 1. I suggest searching LPs you want and see if they apply.
This worked out pretty well for me. A couple of my short list, a couple on my middle list, and a couple on my long list. Andrew Hill Point of Departure A Charlie Brown Christmas 2 LP Edition Jackie McLean tippin' the scales Neil Young live rust Sonny Red out of the blue Red Hot Chili Peppers Californication Grant Green Latin bit The Beatles revolver and please please me
I can't tell by discogs. I did get a nicely pressed Revolver recently and I think it came from Record Industry. The recent Let it Be and White Album were done at Optimal.
So has this happened to anyone besides me?: I picked three items that had the "3 for 2" deal and then go to my cart and I don't see a price cut. I then look further and noticed two of the albums I picked were no longer a part of the deal. Just in that minute everything changed. Now I'm looking again and they are a part of the "3 for 2" WTF
GZ. Most I've had are quite flat pressings but these are the 2009 remasterings which are not that great. But they are good
Yes same exact thing happened to me with, among others, Revolver and Charlie BROWN Xmas double LP. A consolation - just ordered them from Target on their 3 fer 2.
It wasn't in the cart, it was on the last page where you checkout. So I backed out of it and didn't order.
I see what you mean now. It just happened to me. I verified that the 3 albums I chose were part of the sale but the discount wasn't applied when I went to check out. Hopefully it's a temporary problem that will get fixed. In my case, I've probably already spent too much anyway.
