That's one way of putting it, I guess.

They botched the 2LP so bad. So much wasted space. So many essential tracks given over to Third Man. I ended up buying from Amazon for $12 shipped a month ago but otherwise would never have picked up. It does sound good though

For sure there are tracks we wish they included from the larger set but I thought all things considered, they did a nice overview. I suppose a 3LP set would have made much more sense considering only Dylan die-hards bye these. Curious which song omissions are your biggest pain points?

Well this is all personal preference, I'm not claiming to be the authority on what is essential and what is not but

    Rough timings:
    Side A 14 mins
    Side B 14 mins
    Side C 14 mins
    Side D 17 mins

That's a lot of wasted space. I would have included Senor, Mystery Train, This Night Wont Last Forever, Price of Love, Tell Me, When The Night Comes Falling

Just to say, the Third Man Records 4 LPs collection had no import fees in the UK. It was discussed here back then (maybe not this thread, but definitely somewhere in SHF). I was not sure whether to go for it or not due to the potential import fees, but somebody here confirmed Third Man Records Vaults are not subject to import fees in the UK. And he was right!

That is wild. Wasn’t aware of the timing and yes, they could have easily included one additional song per side. Heck, they could have almost make this a 45rpm.

It's a crumby decision to leave so much empty space while forking over the majority of material to a 3rd party for an exclusive release IMO

Which on my system I thought sounded like poor cassette dubs. I sold mine and I’m a Dylan freak so that says something.

  9. Hope there are more outtakes of Sweet Caroline still to come.

Really?? Easily amongst the worst things Bob has ever done. Along with “Let’s Stick Together” the worst cover too IMHO

Depends on your preferences. This discs are short and there’s some filler in my view. “Green Green Grass of Hone”?, “Sweet Caroline”? Gimme a break! Some quality though

I told my wife. Sweet Caroline had to be one of the worst things I've heard. Props for trying it out but whoo!

I liked his version of green green grass of home, but I generally like hearing some of his cover versions

I hate, loathe and despise the song "Fever", I don't care who is doing it. Dylan's version included. I break out in hives if I hear the song.

How did you feel when listening to Dylan sing the series of songs about good old sexually transmitted diseases?

This is funny to me because I really like his cover of "Sweet Caroline." He sounds sincere and the background singers make this song soar!

This doesn't come close to the worst things Bob has ever done: the two live shows I attended do it for me.

It's the only Dylan album my whole family likes. We play it every Christmas morning.
