The film Vengeance (2022), newly released on Amazon Prime, is better than either of the ones you're asking about. B. J. Novak, the director and lead actor, made the mistake of approving that title- it's the fourth movie titled Vengeance since 2009. (The fifth one, if the Friday the 13th sequel by that name is included.) But that's the only mistake Novak made. For me, it was flawless filmmaking. It wouldn't be out of line to say the film is a present-era American version of Trainspotting. Vengeance (2022) deserves to be released in theaters. And then, at minimum, an Oscar nomination for Best Motion Picture. That's how good I think it is. By contrast, my verdict on Requiem For A Dream is: cheesy exploitation. You can quote me on that.
