it looks like my target ban was only temporary I actually earned $10 in circle points and added them to a new order. The only thing they succeeded in doing is keeping me from spending more money yesterday (which I probably would have done) and didn't need to do anyway. Thank you Target!

I had to stop looking at target because I was buying so much. Was tempted to go back and get some of the ones you mentioned above on sat night but hid my phone so I wouldn’t add any more to cart
I ended up with Stones mono box Staple singers box New Dylan bootleg series box Hendrix UHQR Revolver 4LP Joni asylum box Eddie lockjaw Davis box from Craft A few BN Classic and TPs and then a few Lps for gifts for friends and family
Really wanted the Stones box but just couldn’t pull the trigger. My way necessarily would have involved buying 3 at $900 and just couldn’t do it.
Not sure if this helps or hurts (your wallet) but the Blue Note store is selling everything for 30% off including pre-orders so you can grab all that there for about the same as the Target sale would have been. Sale ends today though so move fast!

the problem with the BN store is you have to spend $85 to get free shipping otherwise the 30% is pointless. I ordered Charlie Hunter from Udiscover for $27 after tax and free 2day ups shipping. Ill only order Patton and Turrentine from Amazon now because they apparently come in papersleeves, not poly lined, so im going to need hassle free returns on them
So my final Target haul ended up as: Blondie - Against the Odds Super Deluxe LP box Rolling Stones - In Mono LP box Eddie Davis/Shirley Scott LP box Charles Lloyd - Trio of Trios lp box Frank Zappa - Mothers 1971 CD box Frank Zappa - Erie CD box Hendrix - Purple LP box James Brown - Soul on Top lp Thelonious Monk - Genius BNC JJ Johnson - Eminent BNC Masaru Imada Trio - Planets LP Motorhead - Bomber Lp set Motorhead - Ace of Spades LP set Motorhead - Iron Fist Lp set Elvin Jones - Live at Pookies L The Who - Tommy half speed LP Savatage - Dead Winter Dead Lp Savatage - Poets and Madmen Lp Arctic Rain - Unity CD A-Z - s/t CD Palace - One for the Road CD Janes Addiction - Nothing Shocking Lp Pharoah Sanders - Karma Lp Rush - In Rio 4lp box Frank Zappa - Waka/Wazoo 50th cd box Beatles - Revolver CD box Marvelettes - Sophisticated Soul LP Four Tops - Reach Out LP The Supremes - Reflections LP The Miracles - You’ve Really Got a Hold on Me LP Beck - Odelay Bruce Springsteen - Albums Collection 1 LP Joe Lovano - Im All For You LP BNC Oscar Peterson - Night Train Lp VASS Noriko Miyamoto - Push LP Archie Shepp - Black Ballads LP Donald Byrd - At The Half Note TP ScoLoHoFo LP TP Bill Evans - The Brillian LP Chet Baker - Sings Again Lp Pharoah Sanders - Moon Child LP Pastorius/Melvin - Jazz Street LP Metallica - Garage Inc 3lp Coltrane - Blue Train Stereo TP 2Lp Steely Dan - CBAT Lp Suicidal Tendencies- Join the Army LP The Who - Sell Out half speed LP Billy Higgins - The Soldier Lp Art Blakey - Reflections in Blue Lp Unfortunately my Hendrix Purple Box was delivered to some other house 30 mins away, and no one is sure why. UPS thinks the box has 2 labels on it and it was sent there, theyre sending a driver there to see if they can pick it up but im not hopeful. When i called target they told me to wait a day or two and then call back for a refund. Sigh
That is true about the free shipping number and it does make it a PITA for sure. I did the two TPs coming out this week (Blue Mitchell and Picture of Heath) and added two BNCs and got there.
when they had a 25% off sale a few weeks back i ordered the 2 november and 2 december TPs, so just waiting on them to ship
made a slight dent in my want list. in other news, my Hendrix Purple box was delivered today, so ups actually picked it up from wrong address saturday and got it back, im impressed. Also, very impressive set, i dont usually care for these kind of sets on lp but price was right for the free item and its super well done and pressed by QRP, cant really complain.
I've noticed it gets dismissive comments over the years. I've had it for a very, very, very long time. Seems like a great set to me. But in this day and age of $100 single records, apparently this one doesn't cut it.
the $125 Hendrix UHQR gave me a hendrix revival. Live every 16 year old nowadays (2006 for me) the journey into rock starts with Hendrix, Zep, and Floyd. I got so burned out on him after playing it all the tike back then but been enjoying him again thanks to the UHQR. but yeah that price on blows but hey, ill never need ti buy it again
Out of curiosity, have they always been slow with their deliveries? I'm not expecting Amazon level speed, but I'd pre-ordered the Petty CD set on the Monday before Thanksgiving as part of the sale, and it's not scheduled to arrive until tomorrow or Friday. Considering that I pre-ordered the Harvest box that's being released on Friday, I'm hoping that arrives within my lifetime.
if youre not a red card member its slower for sure. I have some deliveries not scheduled to arrive until dec 16
I'm a red card member and my order with items that were all already released is scheduled for Dec 12 arrival.
yeah, i'm pretty sure target orders are at the mercy of whatever distributor the stuff is coming from for non-target exclusive stuff.
