Except that there aren’t many bar bands that do what they do during the eleven minutes of “The Other One” and the fourteen minutes of “Caution”.
Universal just did that with Zappa as well. I would have thought Garcia's music didn't need as much help with marketing to the current teen audience.
Apparently, this person mixed the entire Garcia album (out in January). Garcia Celebrates With A Whole New Beat! - Jerry Garcia Can’t wait to hear the techno-dance version on “To Lay Me Down.” Maybe it will finally be a version of the song that @ianuaditis would like.
OK, I'll be that guy again, ha ha. In a year filled with consistently good shows, this one was well below average. Having returned from Europe about 1 month prior, it seemed like they hasn't played / rehearsed much, if at all, before this Oakland show. Rusty. Of course, not all bad - even a below average show will have some high points. Anyway, we were there, and it was the Good Old Grateful Dead! 12/3/90 Grateful Dead - Oakland Coliseum Arena, Oakland, CA I: Touch Of Grey, Feel Like A Stranger, West L.A. Fadeaway, Queen Jane Approximately, Ramble On Rose, Cassidy, Althea, Stander On The Mountain II: China Cat Sunflower> I Know You Rider, Estimated Prophet> Terrapin Station> Drums*> Space> The Wheel> I Need A Miracle> Stella Blue> Sugar Magnolia E: The Weight (*w/Sikiru Adepoju)
My 3/18……. 1990 - Hartford - I enjoyed it, but many consider not one of the lesser Spring 90. 1992 - I talked Spectrum last month. Run of the mill Spring 92, which unfortunately made it the best of those Spectrum show. 1995 - Great show for 1995 standards. Probably the best GD show I saw that year.
10/30/73 Playing What is it about these St. Louis '73 shows? The sound is so ethereal, soothing, and mellow. This 10/30 show has to be my most played show from the Listen to the River box set.
