The Salvation Army thrift store we had here closed its doors last year. I know someone who worked there, and she said it was closed basically due to being ran very incompetently. I never found a lot there, but I don't like that they're not around anymore.

There are two still open in my area. I don’t find a whole lot at them, but sometimes my timing is good and there’s a good deal or two to be found.

'Hogans' Heroes' Seasons 2 and 3 (they had Season 1 there as well, but since I already own that one, I left it for somebody else to buy.)

'The Dragnet Collection'- 2 DVD set of 1950s episodes.

'Chappelle's Show: The Complete Series" (I already owned Seasons 1&2. but grabbed this, as it has the 3rd Season, which has been alluding me at the thrifts.)

'Die Hard 2: Die Harder' Special Edition, (2 DVD set)

'The Lion King-Special Edition' (2 DVD set)

'Bugs Bunny and Friends' (still sealed)

    'Jane Goodall's Wild Chimpanzees'

Every charity shop and CeX I go in, I look for The Ladykillers; you'd think it wouldn't be hard to find, but I've never come across it. The other DVD I never see is Spinal Tap (I know one of the guys in the band who's in the film, and he knows I've never watched it and has recommended it to me - I feel I ought to suggest he watches Bad News On Tour in return).

I'd never seen Spinal Tap until earlier this year (thought I was the only one). Actually, I didn't finish it, the jokes started to wear after a while. I sold it at a car boot otherwise I'd send it to you.

I doubt I'll like it when I eventually watch it, I've seen clips of it; I'm really only interested in seeing the person I know. The Rutles and Bad News are more my sort of music spoofs. Someone should make a Rutles-style take-off of Jefferson Airplane/Starship.

Can’t believe anyone would find This Is Spinal Tap anything other than hilarious. A masterpiece, in my view.

Maybe I have a more refined sense of humour :)
In my mid 20s all my friends thought Southpark was hilarious, I hated it. I was more of a Simpsons kind of guy. Don't know if that explains anything :)

Took me a little while to figure out what you'd done there. I do actually enjoy Family Guy from time to time.

Three Hannah Hauxwell TV documentaries on one DVD, £1 from BHF, Lancaster (the fourth documentary, Hannah: USA isn't included). If you've not heard of her, she ran a hill farm on her own for 27 years.

Pleased to find Midnight Cowboy, which I’ve never seen. Not so excited about the other three, but the Werner Herzog documentary about ice hockey should be interesting.

If you are in the St. Louis region check the St. Vincent De Paul thrift stores for DVDs and Blu-Rays because I donated 80% of my collection which included hundreds of titles including many sealed Criterions, Kino, other well regarded labels, some box sets, and popular flicks, some probably out of print.
