A Dangerous Method Not sure how much I really liked it. A lot of interesting ideas about the early development of psychology and therapy, which I enjoyed. However, Keira Knightley‘s acting in her mad scenes early on felt almost cartoonish. She’s much better as the film goes on. And the romance and erotica stuff both felt empty. I do like the conflict between Freud and Jung, and that’s something I would be interested in learning more about. Michael Fassbender and Viggo Mortensen were both excellent throughout. 6/10 (I like Keira Knightley very much and usually find her to be good to excellent, so I was a little bit disappointed in some of her performance here.)
Anatomy Of A Murder (1959) Haven't seen this in decades and couldn't remember the outcome, and with the double edged nature of it I can see why. So, it was riveting, suspenseful and funny throughout. I wouldn't say that it's without it's flaws but it's superbly acted by a great cast, has a complex plot (in numerous ways), a witty script, and the Duke Ellington score (which I have on CD) is top notch. A classic. 10/10.

Agreed. I started watching on Disney + and was really enjoying the first hour or so. I considered switching off and buying the Blu Ray, as I was convinced it would be one for the collection. However I continued with it, only to be disappointed. It really lost its way.

This Beautiful Fantastic. 8/10 because, I liked it, wife liked it, and petulant daughter liked it (It was sooo sweet dad). A magical flick with no actual magic. Tom Wilkinson was simply fantastic
1969 What Ever Happened To Aunt Alice? Saw it yesterday and was just riveted to my seat! Geraldine Page has got to be the most underrated actress of our time. She made it so real that I felt like it was ripped from an episode of Date Line on seniors resorting to extremes to steal money just to retire in comfort at all costs. There's a cruel twist at the end that produces a brilliant soliloquy from Page. Ruth Gordon is just as brilliant. I give it 10/10!
Rewatched "No Time To Die" again last night. 9/10 Loved the ending credits song Louis Armstrong - We Have All The Time In The World Which ironically was also in 1969's 007 movie On Her Majesty’s Secret Service
Facing Ali (2009) - Absorbing Muhammad Ali documentary that includes various boxers such as George Foreman and Larry Holmes discussing their matches against him. If this sounds at all interesting then be sure to check it out. Or you probably already did. 7.5/10
Tár B+. Though I felt it was too long. It coild have been trimmed by 2o minutes and lost none of its impact. Black Adam C+ Enjoyable but hardly original. I did enjoy finally seeing the film debut of Dr. Fate. Always a delight to see Pierce Brosnan.
"Don't Look Up" for the second time. I'd rate it a solid 6 out of 10. A bit uneven and little too long in spots. Not enough of the White House satire. Those people deserve their own movie, if you ask me.
I enjoyed it as well, but as I watched it, I kept visualizing another actor who could have offered a revelatory, against-type, filled with gravitas, Oscar-worthy performance. Sadly, he's neither available nor alive, and he probably would have refused the opportunity. An older Stan Laurel.
I watched that last night and didn’t like it as much as you did. Very monotonous—maybe if it were 30 minutes shorter it would be better. 5/10 for me.
Just watched.... Scare Package II: Rad Chad's Revenge Silly, campy horror spoof. Awesome counting all the movie rip-offs and send ups. I like this sort of stuff so it's an 8/10. Most people will rate this a LOT lower!
