Hey folks, I really want this but can't quite work out whether it's a legit release or not: Roky Erickson & The Explosives Live At The Whisky (LP) $37 https://www.amazon.com.au/Live-Whis...zg_bs_music_sccl_30/358-9344551-7350950?psc=1 Bootleg or not?
Bugger. It was the one that SDE linked to. I might have to cancel this now if I can!!! You can't trust them with a box set!!!
Amazon Au have knocked $30 off Bruce's new album: Bruce Springsteen Only The Strong Survive (2LP) $40 https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B0BG61KXM2/
I have this on CD, nice packaging but fairly sure it's a boot, sound quality is just ok, but it is from an interesting period of Roky's career
Thanks westcj. Are you aware of any live shows from this era that is not a boot? Anything you can recommend? Cheers.
Back in Black VINYL LP $35 Lightening deal ends in 5 min (sorry!!!) Deal of the day: Back In Black (180G) https://amzn.asia/d/8aweMFn
Frank Zappa 200 Motels - 50th Anniversary (6CD) $108 https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B09DF24YRN/ Around $180 at Amazon US and UK
George Duke The Era Will Prevail (7LP) $137 https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B00S5MQR70/ I have this. One of my favourite box sets. AAA, hard board jackets, poly inners - this has been done right. If you like George's breezy 70s jazz fusion, this set will make your day.
Oh ffs Amazon US, just ship my stuff. It's been sitting there for over a week. I could have had it by now.
Pixies Doolittle (LP) $29 https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B0002ONAM4/ Trompe Le Monde (LP) $25 https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B001CVCB5I/ Both in stock.
John Lennon John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band (2LP) $49 https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B08XLNTCKH/ Booklet and poster, half speed remastering. $100 everywhere else.
This is not a bargain at all, but I thought it was interesting that Amazon Au even listed it: Bob Marley Rastaman Vibration (LP) $285 https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B0BMXRXH4N/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=ANEGB3WVEVKZB&psc=1 Analogue Productions UHQR - limited to 3,500. Temp out of stock. Too rich for me but would love to see some more AP stuff at Amazon Au.
Considering the price this goes for on discogs that is absolutely a bargain!! I can't see it happening but I have put my order in! Getting this from the states was just too expensive, fingers crossed! Many thanks Swifty
I bit the bullet and ordered this direct from AP when it came out. Combined it with Steely Dan's Can't Buy A Thrill UHQR and a couple of other items so that the shipping per item was less painful (but nonetheless still painful). I gotta say both Rastaman Vibration and CBAT are amazing sounding. I am skeptical that Amazon will have RV but good luck to all those who order it.
AP was contractually not allowed to sell wholesale and the album had to be sold on the AP site, Bob Marley site or Tuff Gong site. That’s why the pressing numbers were fairly low on it too. If it pops up at Amazon, it’s going to be from a flipper. It’s been up on Amazon US too and nothing to indicate it will actually be fulfilled
Thanks for that. Can you explain to a simpleton like me AP's distribution model and why is it so damn hard to get their products here in Australia at a non-exorbitant cost?
