Rats. I hate, hate, hate when they put "bonus" tracks on vinyl, esp. when some of those bonus tracks are already included in the original track listing.

Oh well, I'm happy w/the Deluxe Edition CDs, so no big deal.

Any mention of mono LPs? I don't have access to their site from work.

How can they squeeze all those tracks on one LP?

Those albums were fairly short, and they don't include all of the bonus tracks that the CDs did.

These actually came out quite a while ago. I never picked them up, so I don't know if these are from a second printing or if they are still available.

Haven't these been available for quite some time??

I'm not talking about the colored vinyl issues from the late '90's, either. I think these editions with the bonus tracks have been out for at least a year or more.

I thought these had been available for at least 5 years. In the 90's they came out on colored vinyl. Then they were re-released as 180 gram jobbies. Maybe they found a few boxes in the warehouse and are calling them "new." They were easily available when I went on my Monkees buying binge a few years ago. Since the original Colgems were easy to find and cheap, I went with originals and never gave the Sundazed a try. I'll pass on these since I still haven't worked up to buying the latest 2 expanded cd's.

I own two of these, The Monkees and More of the Monkees. Verygood quality, but I like the Colgems mono version of More of the Monkees the best.

This is very old news......they have been out for at least 5 years, if not longer.

I have this one and it sounds horrible. :sigh:

My Japanese reissue LP (circa 1978) sounded amazing but wasn't in the best shape so I was hoping the Sundazed would at least sound fairly close. It sounded cold and lifeless. :shake: The sticker on the front said that it was "180 gram, High-definition, premium vinyl pressing for superior fidelity. From the original first generation master tapes.", but of course that means nothing if the mastering isn't done well. After the disappointment of that Sundazed version, I ended up buying another Japanese reissue LP on eBay that sounded pretty much identical to my older one.

They've been repressed a few times by Sundazed. I spoke to Bob Irwin (proprietor) and he said the volume of sales for these even surprised them! When I got mine in '98 they were out of More Of because it was being repressed. I still don't have that one.

I just bought HQ and PAC&J today for $5 each, 180 gram vinyl, with original inserts...these sound stunning! The best sounding version of these albums, in my opinion.

I have the first album on orange vinyl, as well, but please, stay away from this at all costs! Really horrible. I have the chance to buy MOTM and BBM on 180 gram, are they as good sounding as HQ and PAC&J, or crappy like the first album?
