Glen Campbell, Neil Young, Stephen Stills, Leon Russell and Ry Cooder played on several Monkees sessions and The Beatles granted permission for ‘Good Morning, Good Morning’ to be used on the last episode of the Monkees television series, the first time they allowed one of their songs to be used in a TV show.

Maybe this has been debunked or simply can't be proven, but apparently Billy Joel plays the opening chords of The Shangri-Las - Remember (Walkin' In The Sand) as heard billions of times on Tik Tok via the sample in the Capone-n-Noreaga's 'Oh No.'

John Lennon played and sang backup on Elton John's cover of Lucy in the sky with Diamonds - later saying he preferred Elton's version over The Beatles'.

Andy Sturmer from Jellyfish played something-or-other on The Black Crowes' Amorica. Listed as "Assorted Musical Gifts" whatever that means. Weirdness.

Never would have guessed that, sounds just like Bono doing those parts. Strange that they recruited her just to hum a few bars?

New to me too! Just listened to it and, now I know that it's her, it obviously is her! I'd forgotten what a great track it is too. Got sick of hearing it but it's aged really well :)

Not quite all. Jimmy McCulloch is on the album too, and the two of them trade off on lead guitar on I Feel Better.
