I got everything I said earlier I might buy in 2023 (REL subs and Lyra cartridge). I suppose if I came into a windfall I might be tempted to expand my sub upgrade to a REL S/510 six-pack, but that's not a serious plan.

Sold my Pass XA60.8 amps. I took advantage of PS Audio’s sale of their P12 power regenerator. When it comes, I’m going to replace my Stellar Power Plant 3.

Pretty sure this has rca blackplate 2a3’s as well as some old tung sols or something? He hasn’t tested anything (unit or tubes) but now I’m tempted just to test and harvest tubes lol.

I took delivery today of a long wanted SUT upgrade, an Ortofon ST-90. its my first upgrade in quite a few years. Plan was to get an ST-80 but local prices were crazy and ended up finding a new St-90 out of japan for less than half the local price of an St-80 I think the difference between the 80 & 90 is the 90 has balanced inputs as well. Cant find any reviews, the 90 isn't even listed on the main site.

Now to find time to set my decks back up again, Rega p9, Rb1000, Ortofon Jubilee and a TD-124mk2 with SME 3009 Mk2 imp, Ortofon 2m black

I agree with this sentiment but coming from Updike it seemed disingenuous, as he was living in Connecticut at the time he said it. As long as you’re happy. New York is a big state so depending on from where you left, your cost of living goes down which may allow for more audio upgrades. A long & happy retirement to you.

Oh yes…new equipment for ‘23, new phono pre and phono cartridge. Selling? Naw, I never sell anything, just keep it in the box and find someplace to store it. Stick it in a storage unit upstate with my car and motorcycle.

Selling my Klaudio ultrasonic cleaner now (finally caved to my curiosity and bought a Degritter). Will be selling my original SugarCube SC-1 when my SC-1 Plus backorder finally ships (I wanted the USB out and the SVNR).

On my commute to work, I realized the difference between a M0R0N and an IDIOT.

A M0R0N is someone driving slower than you.

In the last week I have sold a PS Audio GCHA headphone amp and an Audiolab 6000CDT transport. Put the money towards the SEWE300B amp I have on order from Decware, paying off that order. Now there's just the wait for both the PS Audio PerfectWave DAC on order that should come near the end of March, and the SEWE300B later this year.

Think I am going to buy a better sub this year. Experimented with a very inexpensive used subwoofer late last year and
it has been a serious bang for the buck. I may even just live with it for a while.

In: Cardas SE15 speaker cables- curious how these will fair given their billing for low watt SET amps (check,) and 100db horns (not check…) The single full range drivers are pretty easy drives though, so we shall see.
Shuguang 2a3c- glad I finally found a pair of these. I know at some point I just need to pony up and get the Psvane Acmes, but these have become exceedingly hard to find and it’s nice to have them
