I am listening to a major $.99 each find of NM London Bluebacks. Listening to Wagner/Das Rheingold & Die Walkure, excerpts. John Culshaw & The Decca Tree at it's best. An epiphany! The Knoxville honey hole amazed today. WOW!

Mozart’s four horn concertos are ear candy. He created so much music that plants itself in my brain.

Thank gawd for Mozart. His 27 pianos concertos.

If one gets bored with popular music, turn to Classical. Any of it. Long pieces of music. It will refresh you.

Lest I forget my favorite Mozart piece ever. The Clarinet Concerto, K622. Sabine is great but plays it a little too fast.

Just now finished the new “Turandot” with Kaufman, Radvanovsky, Speyres, Pappano in 96/24 via Qobuz. Jaw dropped, must compare to Mehta/Pavarotti/Sutherland and Leinsdorf on RCA.

You want to go all out? Beethoven Symphony #3. Buy a CD or LP if you need to. Really get into it.

Just discovered his 9th. I've heard many 9ths and this one stands out. Clear sound, apparently small orchestra, great separation among instruments, savage percussion, odd moments that feel almost structureless (and very modern), detail I've never heard before. I like it because it's different but it's really odd.

Thanks. Interesting collab with dancer, François Alu (though I'd also love to see the rest of the ensemble in a live performance) -

I haven't compared them side by side, but I also have Sinopoli (DG) and Harnoncourt (Teldec.) I can say that the sound on the Wand is absolutely lovely, though, likely better than the other two I have.

Sometimes these groups can make old man Telemann dance.
La Stagione Frankfurt is a smaller group than Camerata Koln, but many of the players are in both groups.
The set has the original covers. Here are a few of the covers.
