@Geoff738, looks like you’re in good company concerning Autumn Almanac. Here’s Andy Partridge on the song: Musician Magazine May 1997
King Charles III (or more likely an underling) picks ‘Waterloo Sunset’ for official coronation playlist: The Kinks hit song chosen for The King's official Coronation playlist | Music | Entertainment | Express.co.uk
After looking through all the Kinks CD compilations of odd and early biased selections Mark has posted of the first 20 odd years of the medium or so one is left reevaluating their thinking that maybe Ray somewhat shockingly may have endorsed many of them (in his mind) and that again Avids is an Education. Was the Idiot Dunce a Jack the lad mole (also) hindering & helping narrow the Kinks apparent era's effervescence, and ace accomplishments with Kareer Koncerning Kompilations?
Thanks again, Avid Pyrrhicvictory. Andy has said this in the recent documentaries about XTC and VGPS.
Re: Your comment of the audience thinking of England in stanza 2 as they partake in the show: Se X-ray? Ray from Storyteller: "You don't think of me that way....... do you?"
That is a sensational list throughout and really dandy except for maybe.... Dandy. Maybe now I'll become a Hermit!
…and right after my complain about not enough, rock ‘n’ roll, Ray Davies live at the Roundhouse: As usual, I’m Not Like Everybody Else kinks butt, WHATGTG kinks butt and TTEOTD kinks butt! Man, the Davies brothers could bring it live, as a group AND solo. I love the fact that they rearrange the songs, injecting new life, while hewing close enough to the original to not lose the essence. I have three different live playlists going in an effort to capture all of the different great versions of these songs, and yet it already looks like I may need a fourth one based on the strength of these first three songs.
Around In A Roundhouse Pt.2 After greeting 4 permanent respected residents the Tourist 'tis transitory like razorlight for a working man but Ray knows Morphene is good to return to!

Completing my run of 60's Kinks Studio Vinyl! Kinks-Size 1965 The Kinks US Reprise Mono Cat: R-6158 Tri-steamboat Labels Original Company Artists Inner Jacket In Shrink This LP was out of stock in store and ordered on February 26th, 1966 from Navy Exchange Memphis by one Dan (or Jan?) Yetter. Just maybe i might be the 2nd civilian owner following my purchase from Funkyousounds Records? N.b. Darn no price tag to work out the inflation for Mark to cover!
Here's my Kinks 10 songs sampler for Mojo. Good thing they were smart enough to ask me while they still had time to re-do it before it hits the newsstands and bookstores. I've decided that it has to be about the Journey and has to prove to the "uneducated" that the Kinks are much, much more than just great sixties hitmakers and that there's many sides to their story… and many record sides missing from the usual narrative. One big rule (one they've followed themselves) : it's a sampler for Mojo readers who've never deep dived in the katalogue (and were fool enough not to take part in our Thread). So no hits or usual compilation songs / live staples. Nothing you might know if you just have a Greatest Hits or a double live LP or just bought Village Green Preservation Society because it's supposed to be THE klassik (I've decided all Mojo readers have VGPS). This sampler should probably not include Education, but it should be one. I Need You Two Sisters Some Mother's Son This Time Tomorrow Oklahoma USA Flash's Confession Holiday Romance No More Looking Back Better Things Scattered
I must Konfess that's brilliant and i may only Konsider kulling one Kut the final elbow, no prizes if you Know which Kink Kut i Kut!
