Giants Stadium '87, '89, '91 In and Out of MSG '81, '82, '83 RFK '89 May '77 Listen to the River '71, '72, '73
Today's listen consists of two shows. First this morning with 1972/05/18 Munich, West Germany (Europe '72) and now playing is 1973/02/15 Madison, WI - Dark Star is currently on. Comparing Dark Stars, the '72 one is quite a strange one and not really the kind of jam I was looking for this morning, but it was cool. The '73 one is much jazzier and 'jammier' if that makes sense. The '72 is closer to freak out and minimalism. I kind of prefer a lot of the '73 ones over '72, though some of my favorites come out of '72
I'll stack the WRS from 6/23/74 agin 'em (but you're not wrong, as our UK friends say). Especially the out jam starting at 12:27. Phil plays this lonely riff starting at 13:35 that slays me every time. I've had a first set tape of this show (plus the Jam of Fools--> Ship of Fools) since '84 or so. I recall hitting rewind countless times to hear that over and over again. Ya gotta develop these idiosyncratic habits early, folks.
SSRIs gave me chest pains and leg convulsions. Once, my head jolted back and I saw a white light. Give that a year? What kind of side effects are you talking about?
When I stopped I got bad nauseau, vivid nightmares, sweating, racing heartbeat, restlessness, etc etc etc
Suicide. There's even evidence of worse outcomes, like homicide-suicide. A small but significant percentage of SSRI users start acting out in weird ways after they start taking them, and with others it happens if they've been using them and then they suddenly stop. Given that the patients in those drastic cases had already been diagnosed with depression or bipolar illness, the exact culpability of SSRIs is often difficult to assess. But the problems are frequent enough to be cause for concern. I don't know how long you were taking SSRIs, but as a rule of thumb, if someone desires to quit them, the longer they've been taking them, the more time they should allow themselves to discontinue them. A lot of SSRI users who quit too quickly or stop outright get a rebound effect that plunges them into an abyss of depression, mental instability, and erratic behavior. But SSRI discontinuance syndrome is definitely a problem that has sometimes led to tragic outcomes. I recommend doing some keyword searches. That's about all I want to say on the topic, because I've exhausted my fund of knowledge (and we've also gone farther off of the page topic than I wanted to get.) There's a lot that medical science doesn't know about how a newly prescribed drug or combination is liable to affect a given individual. Not just mind drugs, anything. To some extent we're all guinea pigs, and always have been.
Headache, fever, nausea, the heartbreak of psoriasis, a compulsive need to lick doorknobs, spontaneous combustion.
Road Trips 3.3 Bonus Disc Back to college basketball, but during halftime I played some of the acoustic stuff from the 5/15/70 Fillmore East early show.
Oh but if the second half of 1970 had been recorded to tape in stellar sound like this show. The lack of soundboard tapes from that time is a Greek tragedy. Roman, even.
I always liked this song, but I could never "get" this band. Vince being a member of The Tubes did not send me running to Dead shows. That said, I've never heard a whole Tubes album.
Holy Moly. This 5/15/70 early show “Easy Wind” is just a rocket ship blasting off. Wow. It is the same performance that was released on the Fallout from the Phil Zone CD in 1997. Just incredible. Checks Headyversion. Third most votes. No surprise.
Going to church: DaP 16 (3/28/73) Disc 3: WRS Prelude>DS>Eyes>PITB ".... transitive nightfall of diamonds" One meaning of transitive is the relationship between things in sequence.
