    Would that insideously formidable Decca console be the same or similar to one used for those late 1950's ffss classical stereos on London - Decca by any chance? Or wrong studio / era? Just curiousity.

    Here is one from my studio life. This was taken in early 1987 for Whitney Houston's second album. It's at Sigma Sound Studios Studio 8 in New York. I was the assitant engineer. From Left to right, Michael Masser (producer), myself, Whitney and Dean Burt (Michael's assistant). The engineer was Michael Delugg and he took the photo. :winkgrin:

    That's a great picture, and there are several more taken at the same time. However, it was from the Record Plant rehearsal for the MSG appearance and not the Caribou session (despite what the caption says).

    Those are some great pictures of The Beach Boys. Brian sure does look a little rough in the bottom left one from '72.
