    and you'll notice that by this time phil had the new bass and billy had the drum set he only played for a few months. i didn't think these drums without the bottom heads sounded as good as the one with them. you get less control without them. i've played them both ways myself and i prefer with the bottom heads.

    Checking out 9/8/87. I listened to 4/19/86 earlier today, and the change in the sound of the band from April 86 to September 87 really surprised me.

    I would have been curious to hear them with bottom heads. I assume he still has them but who knows for sure.
