Let’s be honest though, Bjork wearing a potato sack, stood in a white room would still be one of the most beautiful videos of all time because it has Bjork in it.
My favourite music video of all time. I love all of the videos that Jim Blashfield made, but this is the best imo. The seamless blend of live action and animation is still mind blowing today.
Eric Prydz "Call On Me" Van Halen "Hot For Teacher" Motley Crue "Girls, Girls, Girls" All so aesthetically pleasing that I can't even post them because they're blocked at work.
Directed by Ridley Scott, so it’s no surprise that it resembles an advert. The fish eye lens look in shots resembles the originally released ending of Blade Runner, which came out the same year
That's not the official video, though! Not sure, but I'm thinking this is the one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UFXo_Z3yIQw
I know it's not an official video. It's my statement in opposition to video as a thing to accompany music. I generally don't watch music videos as I'm very aware of how much they distract my brain from the music. But I don't want to distract y'all from your thread. That is all.
It's kind of difficult to watch Bowie here. He looks pretty unhealthy with the stark lighting. Compare this to the "Boys Keep Swinging" video from just a bit later where he appears to be in much better shape.
