The guy who you most clearly see is Joe Butler, the Spoonful's drummer.

I hate seeing pictures printed backward. I've never understood why it's done; especially in books.

The "trunk" cover of Yesterday and Today is the one that bugs me the most!

Something just occurred to me - I think that maybe McCartney developed that jowly look because he was forever pursing his lips, curling his upper lip and sucking his cheeks in, like when parents tell their kids not to hold their face a certain way or it'll stay like that.

Did you ever see a picture of his dad? Exactly the same, it's the genetic crapshoot.

THAT is just about the best sleeve I've ever seen.
I think the photo is in Soho, London. There are a couple of pubs called the Blue Posts.

    thanks, Tim

These are not very beautiful, but I like them. They're original and rarely seen. :)

    Hi,

You know, if i could hop in a time machine i think i'd go back to this time and be coming down this alley way in the opposite direction, i mean really .. can you imagine just bumping into the four Beatles cruising down an alley? :)

    Greg.

Here's a few of my favorites:

    A great solo Lennon shot:

    A great Harrison solo shot:
(the original cover didn't have all the other stories - just "the return of GH"

A great latter-day Macca shot (from Working Classical):

A great early Beatle sleeve that I don't think has been mentioned:

And a REQUEST: one of those "mad day out" photos of the Four sitting quietly on a lawn next to a "keep off the grass sign"

ps. really love the "pillowfight" and the "striptease/alley" photos - excellent!!

It's the one on Rupert Street, Piccadilly - I know because I used to go there all the time when I worked in the Trocadero! The cool part is that I was working at "The Beatles Revolution" which was a large Beatles exhibition full of original artifacts etc. It was supposed to be a permanent exhibition but unfortunately the whole thing folded after just a year :sigh:

Still, I had a blast for that year!

Here's are some pictures of the pub from the Rupert Street side - you can see the arch leading into to the alleyway to the right:
