The worst? I don't even know the name of it, but it started out with some guy in da hood getting high on a joint. I turned it off after like five minutes because it was so dumb.

You guys have all picked good choices. I must admit 200 Motels would make anyone's top 5.

It's not the worst film I've ever seen, but I did walk out on the much loved The Natural. It was just too corny for me. I might have liked it if I had gone with an little kid, knowing it was a child's film.

It's interesting to see some people saying films that others might like or even love.

    Some real stinkers:

    The Island of Dr. Moreau
    Death At A Funeral
    Kill Bill
    The Matrix Reloaded
    National Treasure
    The Aristocrats
    The Royal Tenenbaums
The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou

And any film directed by Michael Bay or John Woo

No. I think you meant to say the music is great! Harry Nilsson and Van Dyke Parks. Jon Brion even used it on Punch Drunk Love score.

Man, remind me not to invite you guys over to watch some movies! Some of these mentioned are among my favorites....oh well, that's what makes the world go 'round.

My nominee for the worst film of all time is Beyond the Valley of the Dolls. Awful beyond imagination.

That's what always happens with this type of thread. It seems to turn into the "popular film that I don't like" thread, rather than the actual 'worst' film you've ever seen. Same thing goes for worst song/album type threads.

Not for me. The question was asked...."what's the worst film you have ever seen", and for me it is The Matrix. I wanted to run the VHS tape over with my car I hated it so much.

Now, that's the kind of passion I want to see!! It's a very personal thing. (I personally loved that movie!)

Some movies are so bad they are good. A number of films at the 3-D festival at the Egyptian in Hollywood a few years ago were in that category, and I had a great time.

On the other hand, some films are just awful. I've never left a theatre before a movie ended, but the closest I've ever come was during THE SHADOW starring Alec Baldwin. Geez that movie sucks!

The "comedy" PAT was right up there, too.

On the flip side, my second favourite movie of all time is Unbreakable, a film most critics/people dislike.

Films that I've been forced to sit through (because of company) but wouldn't have normally watched - the "Lethal Weapon" franchise. They were mind-numbingly awful.

I also remember "Parasite" (a ripoff of "Alien") being really bad. Demi Moore did look good though.
