Do you have all the Wagner's operas on CD?

Nope... while I have at least one recording of each opera from Lohengrin onwards (although sometimes in truncated historical recording form), I don't really care for early Wagner and I've always been a "bleeding chunks" sort of guy. So probably about half of my CDs are overtures and preludes.

You probably have most of the preludes and overtures that are available. I have 3 complete ring cycles, 2 on LP's and 1 on CD's. I probably have most of Wagner's operas. I still have more Wagner's recordings on LP's than on CD's. I only decided to buy operas on CD's last year when I picked up Solti's Tannhauser. It was perfect timing, as that version had only been remastered to 24/96 in 2006. As such, it probably is the best sounding version of that Tannhauser.

Whenever the weather is not clear, i.e. having rain or snow, my cable-modem speed just slows down tremendously. It is just frustrating ...

Playing now (through my AKG 701) JS Bach Organ Works Disc 1
    Helmut Walcha
It actually sounds decent for mono recordings made in the late 40's through the early 50's. Disc 1 also has my favorites: Trio Sonatas BWV 525-530.
