It's now OOP and up to around $175 used or new. I think it was $99.99 new.

I don't know if you're buying the Harmonia Mundi Gold series from Amazon, but you can get them for $10.85 shipped ($9.64 + 1.21) from mdt in England:

I found some labels such as Glossa, Gaudeamus and Gimell are real specialists when it comes to early music. In fact, all my purchases made in early music from earlier this year were from these labels ...

We all missed the boat. It was just like that Glenn Gould's 80-CD box set, i.e. Glenn Gould: The Complete Original Jacket Collection, which I got at Amazon for $109 (shipping included) almost three years ago. This same set is now going for $480.

I nabbed it for $99 during the 24 hours Amazon had it, apparently, on sale (listing error??). One for the good guys. Similar package, the Horowitz Collection, now selling for $241 new. I don't need that much Horowitz.

Anxiously waiting for this Beethoven cycle to arrive. The only cycle Colin Davis has ever recorded in his long illustrious conducting career ...

I listened to this today and really enjoyed it. Great intensity and depth of feeling. I have a cheapo transfer (1 euro download) and the power still shone through.

I was never too impressed with the Beethoven 9th Norrington recorded with EMI back in the 90's.

And I Wonder What Sort Of Cleaning Fluid I Should Use To Get It Off?

The 2/8 combo was revolutionary, set the critical world on fire. However, what followed was sometimes embarrassing—the 5th sounds like the face on the cutting room floor.

Just heard the Zinman recording of Beethoven's second symphony whilst mopping the kitchen floor. His set of The Nine continues to grow on me.

A Steal At Twice The Price!

Don't know, but the CD is still on my shelf.

    I see a copy at Amazon for $162.40 ! ! !:bigeek:

But the M&A copy can be had for a mere $17.00.

I bought it from Arkiv, when it came out -- they were having a sale on it for around $65.00 then. Very nice limited edition.

I bought this set just to get my hands on all the JS Bach harpsichord works by the late Christiane Jaccottet. I think I paid around $20 for this 40 CD-set. This set is now selling for $120 on Amazon ...
