  1. Nice pics! That picture with Kate Bush is from the PG3 sessions, somewhere in late 1979.

I think what he meant was Joe started it in '67...even though I think it was
    '68.

Awesome building! I'd love to the studios and the board.

I would love more info about the one LeeH posted, captioned "Page with Glyn Johns Zep 1 mastering at Olympic studios"

Is there any way there's more information about who took that photo, where it was found, etc.? If so, please message me. Thanks so much.

Not only is that not Glyn Johns, I question whether that's Olympic. I'm not sure if there was another studio or remix room there, but that isn't the console from the main studio. It looks like it *might* be this Sound Techniques console (note the empty space on the left side), but it's hard to say for certain:

The caption claims that's the original console from Trident, but all of the photos I've seen of that console show it only had Painton faders for the 8 output buses and straight faders for the mic channels.

Also trying to figure out what that 8-track is. Looks similar to a 3M M56, but the meter bridge on the M56 was a bit different.

New question: does anyone have any fantastic pictures of Glyn Johns in the recording studio from a known source? I'm searching on the forum, but there's a lot to wade through. Any tips would be most appreciated. Thanks, y'all!

Funny, I saw that captioned as being Andy Johns, and didn't look too closely, but yeah, that's Glyn. Elektra, 1969, working on Let It Bleed.
