    The reference to Arrau reminded me of one of my all time favorite discs -a single disc selection of Chopin by Arrau on Philips Silver Line from 1987.

    I can't even find a picture of it on the web, but if you can lay your hands on one, that would be my first choice.

    Are you sure? It's included in his set of Nocturnes on the same label, so it seems strange that it wouldn't be there.

    yeah, the track list of that boxset always kept me from listening to it...

    Got tired of Tchaikovsky so I am currently listening to this. Probably my top choice for Le Poeme de L' Extase. Love those stacked fourths. :laugh:

    Oh, then the set you have is very different form the new one, which is way more comprehensive.

    BTW, you have Tipo in that Nocturne, my friend. :angel:
