Bongos are cool. Kinda dated but in a good way.
Big in the 50's and 60's mostly I guess, and they supplied a bit of cheese factor into the New Wave days. Don't hear then much anymore.

I was listening to an great old Tony Bennett Live thing that featured some groovy bongos and it got me thinking - where have they gone?

    So I'll start:
Party Out Of Bounds - the B52s

    Jimmy Cliff "Bongo Man"

  4. "Sympathy For The Devil", natch.
Theme music for 12 Angry Men, too. Bongos + titles and credits all in lower-case = cool, daddio.

There was even a new wave band called the Bongo's, but I don't know if they have used those for their songs (not really familiair with that band)

Chitlins Con Carne from Midnight Blue makes some pretty great use of Bongos. The Cowboy Bebop Soundtrack also has a phenomenal harmonica and bongos duet.

Preston Epps was mad for bongos, and had numerous bongo-inspired titles, including "Bongo Bongo Bongo".

    Great, great group!
I recall them utilizing bongos on their cover version of Marc Bolan's "Mambo Sun".
