It's a pity that Telarc went out of production business and became an outsourcing company... I have only few discs by them but they are all pretty fabulous.

You mean Telarc has outsourced the CD pressing business to some third party?

DG photoshoppers learned how to increase authenticity adding a bird but image flipping is still beyond them. DG, hire me, please!

I have a mixed feeling about the semi-demise of Telarc. While most Telarc recordings have excellent SQ, its roster of recording artists has not been the greatest. While Mackerras, Previn, Maazel and Dohnanyi are fine, I do not find such ensemble as Boston Baroque is anything to write home about. Atlanta Symphony also is not that great either. I imagine many of its B-team artists may have a hard time landing new recording contracts if they do not stick with the new Telarc ...

Mostly agreed, although personally I find Atlanta Symphony polished playing rather effective, despite some obvious coldness. And I'll definately miss Telarc's state-of-the-art thinking (even if there was a lot of mixed reviews in recent years).

Now playing CD11, the last CD from this set. This set has been excellent and the late Klaus Tennstedt truly lived up to his reputation of being an excellent Mahler's interpreter ...

Seems that Milessmiles bought a HighRes XRCD version of the same set, that was such a success on DG in the first place.
Here it is once again - is yours a DoCD as well Miles?
