About the Kind of Blue SACD that is recommended. The link does'nt work for me.
But I have this disc, the first single layer SACD edition with the red label side of the disc. It's not bad, but I will not recommend it unreserved. It is something that does'nt sound right to me, the 1997 CD-remaster sound more "right", even it has lower resolution.

Well, a friend of mine has a good Classic Records Kind of Blue, and it's much better than the SACD, in mine ears. The instruments sounds fuller with more body on the Lp. And I know this SACD could sound a lot more like the Lp.

    All IMO.

I seem to remember way back when that Steve said that Joe Satriani's Engines of Creation SACD sounded just like the master.

I read the Otis Redding thread quoted and I don't exactly see a ringing endorsement.

Yes, the vinyl Cotton Club LP on Geffen. I dig this quote out every now and then when people come up with the notion that vinyl pressed from a digital source is pointless.
