Yes, a few. 4-5-6 a year. Gidon Kremer records exclusively for Nonesuch and ECM. Richard Goode is still under contract, too.

Yes, they are. How do you like them? How do they compare to the live CD you have?

I am not a fan of her Rachmaninoff.

Disappointing Schumann, but the Brahms is pretty good.

OK, I'll confess: that's Greek to me!

    Er, then again, maybe not...

Disappointing Schumann (rushed and man-handled), but the Brahms is pretty good. The slow movement was lovely.

This is the first DG LP I've owned on this black variation of the label. Lovely colour booklet, that's all in German. :sigh: For a $1.99 at one of the local VV's, I'm not complaining. :D

I might have seen one black label VG LP before, posted in one of the vinyl threads, by forum member Scroller. He has a lot of interesting classical LPs in his collection.

  15. Yes, Oliver. I was pleasantly surprised. Value Village, at least the 3 locations in Calgary, rarely have any good used vinyl.
Thanks. Pretty good for a Canon point & shoot.

Yes, I think that is the only recording of him on the label. A shame, for it would make finding (and affording) his CDs much easier.

Like the following CD. I thought paying $18 for it for expensive a year or two ago. The asking price on Amazon is now almost $94 ... :shake:

Anyone notice how Music and Arts stole Pearl CD's cover scheme? I bought a CD recently, thinking it was a Pearl CD, based on the cover, but it turned out to be a Music and Arts.

The latter has a much better track record when it comes to transfers of historical performances.
