A first: Counterfeit West German orange-faced CD

    I'm with you Mike. There were more chance to spot them in Germany, Holland and in the UK, than elsewhere. These days a many were probably imported to the U.S and finds a new place in the second hand store.

    Did you ask him about the matrix? Apart of the plastic centre and the date printed on the CD, the disc is odd to me because of the different text font. I don't really know if these title was re-issued in 1994 whether not. The Compact Disc logo has a tiny print font as everyone noticed, but the rest part of the CD is different too.

    A fake disc has "MADE IN W. GERMANY" printed in the box. The original "red face" CD release posted by Mike has "MADE IN WEST GERMANY" and the hall box is larger.

    I didn't ask for the matrix code. The disc is so obviously a fake, I saw no reason to. I merely informed the seller that the disc was a fake (while saying that I wasn't accusing him of making or knowingly selling a fake).
