Out of place album covers... music doesn't match the artwork.

I don't know the album, but that looks like a cover for an album from a glam rock band. In the 80s, it wouldn't have been too out of place for a hair metal band!

Sure, most of you will recognize the artist's name, but apart from that, you wouldn't think there's a jazz album with intricate team playing hiding behind that cover, now would you?

Electro pop pixie Grimes. The album cover looks like some underground death metal band.

 

I don't even eat meatloaf, much less listen to it. After being subjected to that godawful "Paradise By The Dashboard Lights" video throghout the 80's on Mtv, that was enough Loaf to last a lifetime.

 

This was so well done at the time of it's release (1971)

 

There's a different cover for that album as well.

 

I'd have to go with Pink Floyd, Atom Heart Mother.

 

Yeah, now that you mention it - I remember that one too. Not that it makes it much better....

If there was ever an album cover that perfectly represented what is contained inside, this is it. If only Phil Rizzuto had been riding the bike...

Good one! And it's laid out in the same way as albums on the Sacred Bones label, when it's on a different label.

 

What about Molly Hatchet album covers? You'd think NWOBHM if not Manowar style music inside, NOT southern rock!

 

I think the Roger Dean cover for UK/German versions of One fine morning by Canadian brass rock band Lighthouse
doesn´t really fit

This looks rather like the cover for a punk album instead of a folk -pop album.

 

Yeah, they should have called that album "Keith's 'Nads".
