    Pearl and Dutton.

No, they didn't record a complete cycle.

Then I think MOG has them all, sometimes on multiple labels (but not Pearl or Dutton IIRC). Spotify has some as well.

Well, for something that is OOP, what is really a fair market price is what a collector is willing to pay.

Is the listening world gonna to be taken over by Pandora and Spotify? In other words, physical media (what you can hold in your hand) is quite dead ...

I re-discovered that I have a Busch Quartet record. It is Rudolf Serkin and the Busch Quartet in their recording of the Schumann Piano Quintet. Recorded May 22, 1942 for Columbia evidently. It is from a 7 record box set called Virtuosi, selected by Richard Freed in 1985 from artists mostly of the 20's, 30's and 40's, although there is one chamber work from 1950. It is a Brahms Violin Sonata by Nathan Milstein and Vladimir Horowitz.

looking through some more cassettes,i selected a L'Oiseau-Lyre recording of Ampico piano rolls cut by Josef Lhevinne.
i'm impressed with the playing & the sound is nice.

Yes, although it's safer to duplicate, mounting a separate cartridge in its own headshell for each stylus. It's surprisingly easy to fumble and damage a cantilever when handling the little assemblies themselves. Don't ask me how I know that....

Wonderful pianist. Love his recording of Brahms' last work, organ chorales, transcribed by Busoni to Grand Piano.

The Pearl set of the Busch recordings is superior to the [widely circulating] EMI transfers.

I hesitated buying that disc for a long time. The only version of the Etudes I has heard were Uchida's. I figured I just didn't like the works. I saw this disc cheap and bought it. I realized I just didn't like Uchida's playing.

If the info posted by MOG can be trusted (and that's a big if for something like this as the info does not match the cover art image) most of the quartets are on the Fono label.

They skipped the "Harp", one of my favorites.

I am looking to get a high-end conventional integrated amp with built-in DAC and USB port so I can listen to both CD's and digital music files through the same stereo setup. Up till now, all my files have been ripped at 192 in WMA format. I am already a subscriber to Pandora via my Grace internet tuner, which will be connected to this new integrated amp.

Now enjoying Op. 18/1-3 via the above box.

I also have Vegh's stereo set and Quartetto Italiano's set.

Which set(s) do you own and which do you prefer?

Why is this called The Liszt Legacy? The Larrocha discs make this tempting for me.

I always liked Symphony in B flat, great opening (in fact like the whole piece).
