Is that the Cleopatra records issue ? how is it ? Decent pressing ? I have been spinning this lp all weekend ...
Howlin' Wolf's rocking chair album. I think it's a definitive Chicago electric blues album--it's the one I'd suggest to someone who was thinking of picking up a blues album for the first time. And every last track on it is terrific. But picking one is too hard! On a different day, I'd pick B.B. King's "Live at the Regal", which is the best live album of any kind that I've heard.
It's the 2009 Goldenlane/Cleopatra pressing. Very happy with it. I also have a new one I bought today. Burnin'on Vee Jay which is also a repress catalog # 1043. Introducing The Beatles was #1062 so I believe it originally came out around 1962. It looks really nice but the proof will be in the grooves.
