http://www.soundstagedirect.com/bla...n-harmony-and-musical-companion-vinyl-records I just shelled out big for the originals, but if these are better that would be fine with me. SHMC is 2 discs! so is Amorica, now I am really psyched.
I'm looking forward to these as well. I had been thinking of picking up original copies, now I'll wait & see.
Spreading these onto 2 LPs when they for on 1 before is a great first sign that they might be done with care.
I never got the debut on lp, and I've never even seen By Your Side, so I'm interested in those. That box of 45s for Snakes is also a PIA, so I might bite there.
Should beat the hell out of the Plain label ones that are out now. My southern harmony sounds like a cd pressed onto mediocre vinyl.
In the same boat as a lot of people here, have Amorica and the 45 3SOC but haven't sprung for any other originals. I think I would listen to 3Snakes a lot more if it was a regular pressing, some great songs, just a pain to get up every 5 minutes!
I have all the org. pressing - not Southern Harmony. But I'd love to get them again if they are done well.
I have an original Southern Harmony LP that sounds great, I had the Plain LP before that and couldn't believe how bad it sounded. Hopefully these are done right and sound great, if so, I'll be adding more Crowes to my collection.
Great news but that is the question - will they be done right? With all the botched reissues over the last few years, I can see where people are hesitant to jump on this too soon. I agree that it looks good the way they're doing it and if we can get a few more details on the source of these, etc., then I'm in for all 4.
Any new info on these yet? I have no Crowes on LP (as I mentioned previously) but do not want to order them if they are the exact same as my CD's. I am just starting to get serious about vinyl.
What i want after this is a reissue of By Your side. A very return to the Shake your moneymaker sound
