Being a casual Pink Floyd fan, i'm assuming enough material exists to put a set together. Looking for possible songs/concert ideas from the diehards of this period. No need in discussing scarves and marbles just yet. And even if you think this happening is a long shot, let's make believe just this one time. :)

A live animal. It would be better than the marbles from Dark Side and my discs would be less scuffed!. :)

Both the quad mix from the 70's and a new 5.1 mix

A Blu-Ray disc containing (1) the original stereo mix of Animals in 96/24 (or even higher res), (2) a new 5.1 surround mix (also 96/24), (3) the animation clips used on the Animals tour and (4) if ti exists, pro shoot video footage of the tour.

I don't think this album was released in quad, though perhaps a quad mix was made.

    From Wikipedia:

A typical 1977 set list would include the following:
    Set I - Animals:

    1. "Sheep"
    2. "Pigs on the Wing (Part I)"
    3. "Dogs"
    4. "Pigs on the Wing (Part II)"
    5. "Pigs (Three Different Ones)"
Set II - Wish You Were Here:

    1. "Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Parts I–V)"
    2. "Welcome to the Machine"
    3. "Have a Cigar"
    4. "Wish You Were Here"
    5. "Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Parts VI–IX)"
    Encore 1:

    1. "Money"
    2. "Us and Them" (added to February)
    Encore 2:

    1. "Careful with That Axe, Eugene" (performed once in 9 May 1977 Oakland, California)
    2. "Blues" (with Snowy White) (performed once in 6 July 1977 Montreal, Quebec)
Any special encore/songs played other than the above worth mentioning on this tour?

It doesn't seem like there's a whole lot of choice bonus material/outtakes from this period, so a full Immersion set seems like overkill. I'd be happy just to get a good 5.1 mix at this point. Are there good quality live recordings available or are they mainly audience recordings?

Love the idea of the inflatable pig! Beats a scarf and marbles.

Only if it's spring-loaded, so that when you unseal the box and open it for the first time it actually spits in your face.

I have heard many times that Animals was mixed for quad but never released so its possible,or just a rumour.

    CD1 Animals remastered
CD2 -3 live recording(again rumors exist that the band recorded every show in low quality,or the 5 9 77 show which is ok)
    CD4 Snowy's POTW,alt takes ???
    Dvd-Blu ray-All above+5.1 and???????
Of course marbles have a little plastic pig,dog and sheep in them.

I think it's strange that "Animals" isn't viewed as a classic like its two predecessors and the one that followed it. Skipping it in the Immersion series made it look like a "lesser" album. And I like it better than "The Wall". I think "Meddle" also merits its own box.

Agreed, and Relics should get the Immersion treatment too, with the mono Saucerful tracks and other Syd-era rarities.
