Just noticed the date for RSD this year, it falls on Easter Saturday, so if you are planning a few days away at that time best check out where the local stores are if you dont already know!!

Anyway get all the wants and complaints in here!

Well, I will probably end up buying at least one record as I have been for all the past RSD's.

I don't think anything will get announced until a few weeks into Feb. Maybe 2 months out.

this blog usually updates when something is announced. The few titles so far aren't interesting to me.

I know what we are releasing, but unless you are fans of expensive and very obscure UK Reggae albums I doubt you will have heard of it, I'd better pull my finger out as we need to get in the queue at the pressing plant asap, lots of delays caused by the huge demand RSD places on plants.

Well it's not a secret, we are doing a vinyl repress of a compilation album called "Handsworth Explosion Volume II" it was released on a tiny Birmingham label in 1982 and pressed in very small quantities. We 've done a deal to reissue everything the label recorded and will be doing a proper CD reissue of "Handsworth Explosion" I and II later this year, but for RSD we're doing a straight vinyl reissue of volume II although we've got a new sleeve design for it.

I've recently been able to buy online, several rsd releases from years past that I missed out on for much less than the original price.

It's a bit jerky of the RSD braintrust to schedule this on what is,even for non-observers, a weekend where many will have family obligations. But then I feel the same way about Black Friday.

  22. So some Andrew Lloyd Weber musical then .....

I would like to see some nice, unique items, like the Big Star Third box, or the Black Keys 45 rpm sets. Too often, we're seeing poor quality pressings of records people already have - colored vinyl, replicas of old 45's and the picture sleeves, etc.
