Daniel Craig, I feel, has done enough bond. His movies were better than Pierce but just don't compare to Moore and Connery.

Too bad, he was my favorite Bond, next to Connery.

Idris Elba would be an excellent choice.

  7. That one is ripe for a remake, especially if they shot at Schilthorn again.

It's not one of the best, but there have been a *lot* of worse films in this franchise than that.

Good post indeed. I kind of agree with your assessment of Timothy Dalton, he was totally convincing as a menacing cold warrior but less so with the quips (something I think he himself would admit and for which they toned down in License to Kill), I've always believed the late Lewis Collins (of The Professionals, Who Dares Wins, and the 1988 Jack the Ripper mini-series fame) should have replaced Roger Moore for A View to a Kill onward, Collins had it all; physicality, looks, charm, a dark and dangerous side, impeccable comic timing and a natural with one-liners, charisma in spades, and looked liked he was born with a gun in his hand... he's the best Bond that never was and would have been up there with Connery in my opinion, but Cubby Broccoli wanted Timothy Dalton for years and grabbed him when the opportunity presented itself, and personally speaking, The Living Daylights is one of the best Bond films in my opinion, certainly one of the most underrated.

If Craig is gone from Bond, it's a shame he left on a sour note with the worst entry in the franchise since the aforementioned A View to a Kill, but what Bond actor has left on a good note? They should now go back to the Fleming books and remake them in chronological order with the 1950's Cold War setting, which they won't do, but it would be nice if they did... short of that approach, I'm pretty much done with the Bond franchise at this point.

Joe Manganiello. It's about time Bond got a bit scruffy.

Just get this guy from that crappy U.N.C.L.E. movie, it's a no brainer. If he can't do it I hear Steven Segal is free.

I thought Craig was very good in Casino Royal but he slowly went downhill in each one.

    He looked old in Spectre.

Fassbender would be my first choice.

I'm of the opinion that almost anyone can play Bond. The script and editing are really what makes the difference. Craig was a fine Bond, but he can't fix the script and that's what sunk Spectre.

He was an impressive Bond. I liked all of his Bond films, even A Quantum Of Solace!
