One interesting fact: it apparently was true that Apple and Netflix did each offer $400M to MGM, which would have given them a profit on the film, but they asked for somewhere between $600M and $800M, at which point the streamers walked away.

Fully agreed and it really does make you realise how much we do take for granted. I just hope all those things we miss now will still be there when we get through this thing. But we will get thru it, history shows that we have got through worse situations than this. In the case of the Bond film this must now be close to a record for the longest delay for a major film production to hit the screens from being in the can?
I think you're right, given that it was supposed to come out in Spring 2020. So it's basically 18 months late! I just pray things are OK for a release in the fall and things can get back to a version of normal -- not just for movie fans, but for so much of business and life and everybody.

Barbara Broccoli announced in 2016 the film (yet untitled )James Bond 25th film would likely be released in 2018. So far that’s six years in creation, still ..the films not been released yet.
