I like Christina and Ed, but just why did they have to drag Beverly and Chevy into this?

I'll settle this for everyone. All of the Austin Powers movies are funny.

    Love Guru is not.

Agree "Love Guru" - that was just an awful movie.

As for the Austins, like I've noted, I enjoy the 1st and 3rd - they come with weaknesses, but they're still funny. Crud, I'd like "Goldmember" if just for Michael Caine!

"Shagged" remains a disappointment. It's not unwatchable, and it comes with some funny moments, but it's substantially weaker than the other 2, and it really feels like it exists solely for $$$...

  6. If I may detour over to TV for a minute, let me mention Hogan's Heroes. The few times I've tried to watch it, I just don't get it at all. I only wish the Nazis were that stupid and incompetent, the war would have been over a lot sooner.

How I Met Your Mother and The Big Bang Theory

I like the casts of both shows, but the shows are really not funny.

Oh wow. I think the first Vacation movie from 1983 is one of the ten funniest movies ever made. European Vacation on the other hand is one of the ten unfunniest movies ever made.

I liked the new Vacation movie, as far as comedies go at least, and I liked How I Met Your Mother. The old Vacation movies were pretty mediocre, IMO. Just goes to show how personal this all is.

Agree on Big Bang Theory though, not a fan at all. Also Two and a Half Men. I can watch these shows and there are some funny moments, but there is something missing for me. The humor is kind of weak and I just don't care about any of the characters.

He seems like a genuinely cool guy as well. A great person to just hang out with.

I actually dislike some of the movies people think are among his best. Happy Gilmore and Billy Madison. But he has quite a few that I find hilarious. Really just depends if you like his brand of humour.

I forgot to mention that show!

Two and a Half Men is very funny, but once Ashton Kutcher came on the show, that’s when it should’ve really ended.

Well, Hogan’s Heroes was a bit of a one trick pony so that constricted it one way. Same plots over and over. The other is that for an outrageous scenario, they had to adhere to the conservative sitcom conventions of the late 60s.

I’m not defending it....but Werner Kemplerer was a treasure as Klink and the cast chemistry was there.

I'm trying in vain to watch "The Jerk Too". I can't. I don't know who this clown is, but he ain't Navin Johnson.

And I usually tolerate sequels - I even liked "Caddyshack 2" - but this is CRAP. Pure... CRAP.

Just feels to me like most of the jokes revolved around body parts or functions and the set up was easy to see. Not much substance. IMO, from watching the odd episode when nothing else is on. It is possible that there is more to it than what I have seen.
