Please help with choosing a DAC

Hi guys,
My setup is Marantz PM6005 with Elac bookshelf speakers.
I was wondering if Marantz's DAC is good enough and if there is a (cheap) alternative like Schiit Modi 3 or anything you can recommend.
I'm connecting a Windows 10 Tablet that is connected via HDMI to a HDMI de-embedder and from the de-embedder via TOSLINK optical cable to the Marantz.
I listen mostly to electronic music, i feel like i'm missing high tones, not enough treble for me.
I'm looking for not so expansive DAC that sound great and very bright without compromising the bass.
