    Just bought this lot:
    • Blues Brothers (1980)
    • Kingdom of Heaven (2005)
    • IT (2017)
    • Robocop trilogy (1987, 1999, 1993)

The Blues Brothers was 50p. The rest of the DVDs were part of a 3-for-£1 offer even though the Robocop set includes three films. Quite a bargain, although I’m guessing that the sequels won’t be very good.

And another six for a total of £2:

    • Hidden Figures (2016)
    • Argo (2012)
    • Straw Dogs (1971)
    • Super Size Me (2004)
    • Wimbledon (2004)
    • Slumdog Millionaire (2008)

    Any favourites here?

Straw Dogs is a brutal classic so that get's my vote. :)

Straw Dogs, deffo, although the transfer on this particular edition is HORRIBLE. Literally, every other edition available worldwide is better than this one.

    Argo I really enjoyed.

Slumdog Millionaire is a fun, feel-good flick.

I liked it well enough but found it hard to believe that guy had so much trouble eating the so-called super-size meals. It's not that much food!

Last time I saw that set was at a Goodwill but it wasn't $1.99.
They had it as a silent auction item with a minimum opening bid of $50.

Dang! Seems a little greedy to me, even for a charity shop.

I haven't found much lately, but my most recent purchase is/was a sealed copy of "The French Connection" (20th Century Fox's 'Five Star Collection' edition of the film. It still has the Best Buy price sticker on it, priced $22.99 in 2001).

I didn't get it in a charity shop, but this is going to be my next film as well. :righton: I've only seen it once, many years ago, so my memory of it is extremely hazy...

I already own this one, but it’s so rare to find an MoC title in a chaz that I couldn’t just leave it sitting there. I’ll find a recipient who will appreciate this.

I’ve posted a free draw on the Blu-ray.com forum. Folk there have been kind to me in the past, so I’d like to return the good karma.

I’ve yet to see it .

    I loved it.

I’ll tell you what I’ll do. I’ll stick your name into the draw anyway because this is a dual format release. Even if you can’t view the BD, the DVD will still work for you.

Freaks And Geeks - The Complete Series. Goodwill $2.25.

This actually had a disc missing, so I combined it with another copy I had bought a few years ago which also was missing a disc, and was able to make a complete set. Happy to have it all in one place now. If anyone (in the US) is interested in having the first four discs of the set, just let me know. I’ll pass them along.
