I picked up Point Of Entry and thought it sounded quite good. I'm happy with it.

On the other hand, I also picked up the MoFi silver label pressing of Screaming For Vengeance and promptly returned it. A muffled, lifeless mess.

So the cheaper one I thought I'd be returning, I kept and the expensive one I thought I would keep, I returned. Go figure.

The MoFi of Stained Class is way better. I have a mint original SfV so didn’t see the need to upgrade.

The MoFi for Killing Machine is pretty good - I like it as it has all the cuts from the UK and US versions.

I can look that up tomorrow if you want (not at home right now) but yes, it came with a download card, which is 320 kbps mp3.

The artwork on the latest Judas Priest reissues do not look good as the originals.

So call me stupid but are these new remaster or just reissues of older things as the last loot on LP were really poor the coloured 2010 (I think) ones

If these are indeed new remasters, then I have no clue why Sony only opted to put them on vinyl. They do know about the bad reception the Jon Astley remasters got right? It's a shame that CD and hi-res buyers are being left out for this campaign and I hate when this kind of thing happens in general. Even MFSL only issued their Priest remasters on vinyl, which surprised me. I'm not so sure we'll ever see any more reissues after this, other than a 30th anniversary edition of Painkiller if we're lucky enough. With that said, I may check out Sin After Sin, but only because the original CD sounds so thin. The other old CDs are serviceable, but they could still use a good mastering from better tapes.
