I'm not a backer, but I guess it is saying that, "the first phase of mold development is now completed."
This was also in the e-mail that they send to the pre-order group.

On the website there is a "production timeline" (nevermind the "May" Mold Testing, that should have read "March"...I reckon)

Given that Hong Kong is an ex-British colony, I would have thought that they would be testing their 'mould' and not some random fungus.

They have a blog with updates - HumminGuru News. Like everything else these days, they are behind schedule.

They do have a video showing how it works. Sounds a bit loud in the video.

Timetable has shifted to end of October; if it arrives by year's end I'll be happy. Have not done a Kickstarter yet that arrived on time - would rather they take the time to make it the best it can be vs. being their beta tester. :)

Record cleaning demonstrations without before/after plays are sorta pointless.

But more importantly, is that thing actually making bird noises as it runs?

    Viewing the video:

-The cleaning cycle rotation speed is ~2 rpm.
-They appear to be using a solution wetting agent since the record appears uniformly wet (no water beads) as it is rotating during the cleaning cycle.
-They appear to have added a pump to assist draining - the pump noise is quite obvious.

How would have have drained it without a pump? Were they using a pump to fill it and gravity to empty it?

The 1st video's of unit operation appeared to be using simple gravity drain; the water/fluid tank is under the UT. Otherwise, the unit is manual-fill. The user needs to remove the tank and refill the UT tank for each use per their own info - HumminGuru | how the ultrasonic record cleaner works | URC | USC.

    Update today:
The good news is that the trial production was completed successfully in the last few days of September! As it is planned, we will start mass production in October. The delivery date will be informed once the mass production is completed.

Also of note - they gave some to a few backers early for further feedback, which seems like a good sign they're taking testing seriously.

Anyone received their pre-ordered unit yet? I have just received shipment notification email but tracking number will be provided later.

Also, just noticed the instruction manual is now available online HumminGuru Owner's Manual

Also received the update email/notification overnight - backer orders are ready to ship; FedEx will be used outside of China, Taiwan, HK, and Macau. Units will be shipped in order (so backer #1 is first up).

I'm around #500; I'll be interested to see how long it takes to get the actual shipping notification.
