as a standin for every great band that nevre got its due and is more R+R than 98% of the inductees. For this alone:

Yes but then again I could name 10 other artists that should be in there that will never be either, so they're probably in better company among those that haven't gotten in.

    The answer is yes.
Shouldn't this though be in the music forum?

Great band, but I don't think they care.

I love how people think that a Gort is summoned because they use the word "Gort" in a post. How many times do people have to post to just message the Gort that's currently on duty to get their attention? And no.

    no

way too many others before them that won't get in as time moves on and bands like radiohead get in.......the "old guys" getting in the rock hall might be near the end.

Well I had to Google them, never heard them.
Sound like fun, were they big in America?

  13. Not in the slightest. They were critics' darlings 30-40 years ago, though.

I looked at their discography and as far as I can tell, they never had an album that made the charts.

If you're gonna make it into the Rock Hall with zero commercial presence, then you gotta be a massive influence ala Velvet Underground.

NRBQ? Pleasant band but not one with obvious influence or impact on rock...

  15. The closest they came to "influence" is, I think, a couple of them worked with Meghan Trainor and helped get her started in the biz. And I think one of them was instrumental in getting the Shaggs' album reissued. Let that sink in.

Along with Cyndi Lauper, they also made Captain Lou Albano a minor star in the mid-80s.

That alone should ensure Rock Hall induction, shouldn't it? :D

Love the group, and their 5 disc compilation is a must listen for anyone unfamiliar with their work. You’ll either Get It or you won’t.

    Not R&RHOF worthy, though.

R&RHOF doesn't recognize quality over $$$. NRBQ is too good for them. The Q is much more than R&R.

How could a band that made such a great album with Carl Perkins not be inducted into the R&R Hall Of Fame?

The R&R HOF is a poltical crock of s**t. The "Q" is better than that.

good grief, they should have been inducted immediately as soon as they were eligible.

I've seen them several times and own a bunch of their stuff.

A better band, doing that thing they do.... there never was.
