  1. Andre Roussimoff (Andre the Giant) as Fezzik from "The Princess Bride."
Anthony Hopkins as Burt Munro from "The World's Fastest Indian."
Rondo Hatton as The Creeper in three different movies using this character.
Jennifer Connelly as Gloria Harper from "The Hot Spot."
Bill Paxton as Private Hudson from "Aliens."
Jabba the Hutt as Jabba the Hutt from "Star Wars"

I was just going to say either him or Susan Sarandon as Annie. Played it as if she was waiting for the character her whole life. I won’t say Tim Robbins though, It’s always bugged me. He was good in the role of course but am I supposed to believe that he is a young kid getting his first taste of Pro Baseball? Anyway great film, also Trey Wilson always looked like he was supposed to be a minor league Manager. Great actor who is sorely missed.

Susan Sarandon was definitely awesome and perfect in her role. The film is as much about her story, if not more, as the focal point of the film. Baseball is just the backdrop for the struggles of Annie & Crash, which makes it such a complete film for me - not just a sports movie.

  11. I know. I feel for the guy. I mean...have you seen him cast in ANY other role?
I hope he took the precentage payment method instead of the standard SAG/AFTRA daily rate.

I remember reading that Carrey saved them money for special effects because he could move his real body in ways that it would have needed CGI with any other actor.

While Ted Cassidy was the perfect Lurch in the Addams Family it was Raul Julia that was the perfect cast for Gomez Addams

I think that part was meant for a much younger actor. A 40 year old Nicholson would have been perfect.

One film that cast several actors against type was Ryan's Daughter.

John Mills and Trevor Howard come from the British "stiff upper lip" school but play way out of their comfort zones.

However it's traditional hard man Robert Mitchum as the shy school teacher who is most perfectly cast. I can't imagine a more perfect performance.

We're watching Godfather II in my house (me for the tenth time). Lee Strasberg as Hyman Roth is just amazing. He absolutely embodies that role, which is so subtle throughout.

Of course, everybody else in it is pretty good too!

Joe Pesci in Goodfellas. I didn't know him before that movie. I've known some guys like that (somewhat--just a little--less violent), and he got it so right.
