I watched the first series of BB. Have to get a complete box methinks. The Wire is quite old. Does that impair the viewing in any way ?
I just started watching Torchwood. That is good if you like science fiction. It is a Doctor Who spin off, but is definently more adult.
Twin Peaks The show lost its way after the resolution of the initial Laura Palmer story, but that first season was among the most compelling stories ever shown on network TV Also, I am contractually obligated to recommend The Prisoner. On Blu Ray.
There was this one hilarious sequence where the detectives were re-investigating an old crime scene. Thev said **** for forty times or something. Nothing else was said. Beautifully screenplayed.
Fewer co€ksu€+ers but still quite a bit. I like Rome The Borgias Boardwalk Empire Coppers (has a lot in common with Deadwood as far as period costumes and movie sets go) Hell On Wheels The Wire (this should be at the top of your list if you haven't seen it)
As a mellow crime series, I enjoyed the first 2 seasons of "The Killing." Those 2 seasons wrap up the entire story. The 3rd (and final) season isn't very good.
definitely The Wire, i just got done with it now im starting Boardwalk Empire Shameless The Sopranos Band Of Brothers The pacific
Last episode of Deadwood was a bit anti climatic. Was there going to be another series I wonder, and powers that be decided to end it. I know it's supposed to be quasi historical, but... Just saying.
