GLOW was a joke. A sketch comedy show with some powderpuff "matches". It was never to be taken seriously. Only one woman went on to be a real worker, Tina Ferrari(Lisa Moretti) ended up in the WWF as Ivory. That is not to say there still wasn't an interesting story there with the show itself, and the women who were in the cast. Mountain Fiji 's story is actually heartbreaking.
I DO recommend the GLOW documentary.

Watched the first two episodes before I left for work this morning. Loving what I've seen so far. Although it's a pretty big stretch to believe that Alison Brie (even with a bad perm) is ever going to be too unattractive (too "real"?) to be castable (is that a word? it feels like it should be.).

Wasn't going to watch until I learned that Alison Brie was in it (and that it got some favorable reviews), so it's in the queue...

Just finished the pilot. I wasn't interested in this at all until I heard Jenji Kohan was involved and Allison Brie was the star. She is great. I didn't know Marc Maron was in it. He's funny as can be. Really liked it and it may end up being a binge this weekend.

I too have caught the first couple of episodes of this, Alison Brie being an attraction for me after her performances in Community and Mad Men. I found it entertaining, though I was really unhappy how they played the scene with the 'ketchup' - though I understood the implication to other characters.

was excited to see this but its not very good

I guess the problem is I wanted to see GLOWs beginnings as see how it built up. This entire show leads up to the first show. If they would of stuck to the story it would of been much better but they decided to go down roads they shouldnt of

AS A GUY I cant handle girl lockerroom talk.

Alison Brie...nudity! Did not expect that. And am not complaining for once.

Other than that I wish it was a little funnier. Watched two episodes so far and I agree the ketchup bit was over long.

    Two words: Alison Brie

Two Thumbs way up. I don't care how terrible the writing, acting, plot, etc. is/was/will become, I will "watch" this until Netflix stops producing episodes.

And if Netflix stops, Amazon or Hulu, you need to pick up the series.

Episode 7 has a scene that is so inappropriate and so funny based on the characters reactions... I haven't laughed that hard at a TV show in a really long time.

Tiffany Million. Did over a hundred adult films between 92 and 98. She is now a bounty hunter(she was featured on WE TV)

For me, it wasn't the fact it was long, but I found it very distasteful given the reason the ketchup was used.

I watched the first two episodes and... meh. Not sure if I'll stick with it. I find it seems to be trying a bit too hard and most of the humour falls a bit flat for me.

Seriously? I thought it was terrific. I mean, I don't know anything about the 'real' GLOW, but this was a terrific character piece with lots of heart and Alison Brie. But Marc Maron and Betty Gilpin were also very good. I really enjoyed the season.

I veel fill your pool with Borscht!

I second that. He plays a character that might be equated to the old cliché of a 'hooker with a heart of gold" - he's gruff, cynical, jaded, etc, but he does have a (pulpy) artistic vision nevertheless and he does want his production to succeed. It's really a great performance.

Marc Maron is very good in this, but the show itself is a little uneven. Good music choices, tho. And Alison Brie.

Finished episode 10 last night. I didn't love or hate it but probably wouldn't watch another 10.
